Colin and I (well, actually, just Colin) are packing packing packing. Almost time to move out of our flat. Everything is on trade me. In some cases, people are bidding almost the same amoun of money that we paid for things brand-new. I like this. :)
Colin and I went on a walk in Rivendell almost a month ago. By Rivendell, I mean Kaitoke Regional Park, which is where the Rivendell set was built. I thought I should show off some photos:
Jurassic Park? No, but lots of big fern-trees everywhere!
There were HUGE trees with parasitic plants all over them .
New Zealand: Isolated, fairly annoying, but strikingly gorgeous.
In other news, my snowman slipper's ear muffs fell off:
:(
But today I am still happy. My friend Andrew invited Colin and I over for brunch today! I know Andrew through Steff, my friend from Grafton Hall who will be studying abroad at SUNY Stony Brook this fall. I ran into Andrew at Steff's 21st a few months ago. Turns out he's back in NZ and working for Weta Digital in Wellington. So, he we joined him and his Weta friends for Sunday brunch at his flat. I like talking to people with brains. I don't get to do that (other than with Colin, his parents, and Kenny and Bea) on a regular basis. I brought a crazy NZ fruit salad and we had a really nice time. I miss having a social life. Soon... SOON... I will again. :)
Oh, and just a few more photos. There was this really cold day last month... it snowed on the hills behind Wainuiomata, and Colin and I had the day off together, so we went to Seatoun for brunch at our favorite cafe with a view of the hills. On the way home, we took a walk up Moa Point to enjoy the view.

Close-up of the South Island. We've never seen it from Wellington before.
